The bay on which Icmeler sits is surrounded by wonderful pine covered mountains and really does have some lovely scenery, it's a great back-drop and the envy of many other
resorts in Turkey. There is an interesting feel to the place. During the hot days things are fairly laid back and people tend to take things at a steady pace, perhaps lazing on beach or by the pool or taking in some of the local attractions. Really just making the most of the wonderful weather.
There is a special energy to the evenings with the stalls,
restaurants and bars catering to the needs of the tourists. It's a great way to spend those warm summer evenings, a chance to meet people or just sit back, relax and take it all in.
Icmeler Nightlife
If you're in the party mood and want to dance the night away there are a couple of
nightclubs in Icmeler that are open until the early hours (4am), and of course you can take the 15 minute dolmus trip in to Marmaris which has more comprehensive options for clubbers. There are however a wide choice of late bars in Icmeler too which are very popular.
The bars offer entertainment for all, live music and acts. Some of the acts cater to an adult audience and include some choice language, however there a plenty of acts which cater for all ages and are suitable for families. That's the great thing about this resort, you really can find something to cater to your own particular needs. For example, the Stella Show at the Harmony Show Bar is a drag show which comprises music, dance, comedy and incredible outfits yet is suitable for children. Although there are sexual inuendoes, it is perhaps best described as being in the vein of the 'Carry On' films.

If you are a beach lover then head for
Icmeler beach to soak up some sun, cool off in the welcoming waters and take in come of the wonderful views of the mountain forests that surround the bay. Those looking to explore the area a little more can take advantage of the many
trips in Icmeler. Various tours are on offer, with visits to the still relatively undiscovered towns of
Datca and Bozburun. Boat trips in Icmeler offer something for everyone with day trips around the coastline with opportunities to take a dip, do some snorkelling, visit secluded beaches or simply stay on the boat and top up your tan.
